how it works
“I noticed the difference on the first filter change. Tru caught a lot more dust in a shorter period of time than my old filters. My daughter has allergies, so the less dust in the house, the better.”

You Asked, We Answered.
How are Tru filters different
from standard filters?
Standard filters can only protect heating/AC systems from large dust particles. Tru offers high-efficiency MERV 13 rated filters designed to protect your family from dust, allergens, bacteria and more.
Will Tru filters eliminate
the need for dusting?
Tru filters can reduce the total volume of dust compared to less efficient filters, but they can only trap particles that reaches the filter. Dust that is heavier than air may fall before reaching the filter.
Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) is an independent standard that rates the overall effectiveness of air filters. A higher MERV rating means a greater percentage of particles captured.
How often should I
change my filters?
High-efficiency filters should be replaced at most every 90 days. However, households with pets, allergy sufferers and furnaces located in the garage should have filters replaced every 30 to 60 days.
MERV 13 offers the greatest allergen-blocking efficiency while maintaining ideal air flow. Hospitals use MERV 13 filters because they filter out harmful bacteria, allergens and other toxins.
Do Tru filters restrict
Tru filters are designed to provide ideal air flow within all HVAC manufacturers’ specifications. Replacing your home air filters every 30-90 days will ensure that you always have effective air flow.
Why not offer MERV 8
or MERV 11 filters?
Filters rated below MERV 13 can redistribute smoke and bacteria throughout your house. Offering these types of filters does not fit with our mission to create healthier indoor environments.

From our customers...
These filters are noticeably effective. My wife claims it's helped with her allergies. Also, my computer sits near a vent and the motherboard used to get dusty pretty quickly. The Tru filters have cut that problem by more than half.- John N - McLean, VA
In the past, I have to admit I rarely changed my filters as often as I should. Tru’s delivery service has been perfect for me. Now I’m changing my filters on time, and I actually enjoy getting those friendly delivery boxes.- Jessica B - Chicago, IL
