How are Tru filters different
from standard filters?
Standard filters can only protect heating/AC systems from large dust particles. Tru offers high-efficiency MERV 11 rated filters designed to protect your family from dust, allergens, mold spores, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and more.
Will Tru filters eliminate
the need for dusting?
Tru filters can reduce the total volume of dust compared to less efficient filters, but they can only trap particles that reaches the filter. Dust that is heavier than air may fall before reaching the filter.
What is
MERV?
Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) is an independent standard that rates the overall effectiveness of air filters. A higher MERV rating means a greater percentage of particles captured.
How often should I
change my filters?
High-efficiency filters should be replaced at most every 90 days. However, households with pets, allergy sufferers and furnaces located in the garage should have filters replaced every 30 to 60 days.
